Well that's another show season over. Its not been our best with the van giving up the ghost on our first trip out, then the replacement van having various teething problems. The worst was when on our way home the clutch stopped working. Stuck in fourth gear my super clever hubby managed to negoiate 4 roundabouts and 5 sets of lights without stopping or stalling the blooming thing!!!!!!!!! What a hero, and as a bonus he managed to fix it the next day.
On the plus side its really good to catch up with people, other traders we only meet at certain shows and customers too who have become friends over the years. And after years of doing the rounds we know who makes the best fudge and marmalade in Cumbria, and the best bacon butties, thats Blackcombe country fair, our opinion only.
I guess we just enjoy chatting to folk, about this, that and tother. Its been good to show new lines and see what people think. Its easy to work away in the workshop making things, the hard bit is seeing if customers like them as much as you, and use their hard earned money to purchase an item, then and only then do you know if its ok or not.
So I'll have to get my thinking cap on, to try to make something new for next year, I have a few ideas, just need to get organised and set to.
If we met at a show, it was good to chat, if you've not been to any of the shows this year then why not pencil one in for next year, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
