It's hard to imagine when it's pouring down with rain and blowing a gale outside that our show season is about to start. Our first show this year is Wray Fair on Bank holiday monday. For those of you who have never heard of Wray it's a small village in the Lune valley, Lancashire.  Every year they hold a scarecrow festival and this has grown and grown, they get coach loads of people throughout the festival week, you can go and wander around the village and admire the ingenuity of the people who do the scarcrows. I believe that you can get refreshments in the village hall, usually supplied by local groups, like the WI. The festival is capped on the bank holiday by a fair, again there is old fashioned sports and entertainment, trade stands and lots of other things going on. Well worth a look at if your're in the area, and if you do decide to go, pop in and say hello to us, we'll be there.
